When you want to unlock your iPhone 6, but you don’t have an unlocked SIM card in your pocket or purse, you need to make one.
We know this, because the company behind one of our favorite iPhones, the iPhone 5s, released a tutorial for iPhone 6 users that has been widely praised by the Apple community.
This tutorial has since been updated to include the iOS 9.3.1 update, which makes it possible to unlock the iPhone with the SIM in the pocket or on your shoulder.
The trick isn’t as simple as just unlocking the phone using the SIM on your phone, though.
Here’s how to do it, but keep in mind that it is not necessary to get a SIM lock code from your carrier to unlock it. iPhone 6 iPhone 6+ iPhone 6SIM unlock tutorialStep 1.
Find your iPhone6 SIM card and activate itStep 2.
Find the SIM lock icon in SettingsStep 3.
Tap the SIM icon and tap ‘Connect’Step 4.

Tap “Activate” and select ‘Next”Step 6.

Enter the SIM number you want and tap “Next”Once you’ve got your SIM number, go back to the iPhone settings app, tap on ‘Home’Step 8.

Tap OK and the SIM should now be active.

Your device should rebootOnce the iPhone is connected to your cell, you should see your iPhone’s screen and your SIM unlock screen.
Now, your phone will connect to any SIM on the cellular network it’s connected to.
The SIM will also be able to call your phone from any cellular network and can send and receive text messages.
