You may have heard that the Android version of WhatsApp has had its own version of its desktop app for a while now.
The desktop app has been available in the App Store for a few months now, but the mobile version has been missing.
You can download WhatsApp for Mac from the AppStore, but you have to go through the process of installing it manually to get the desktop app working.
Fortunately, the app is now up and running, so we’re going to walk you through the whole process.1.
Install WhatsApp for Android and install the WhatsApp for Windows 10 app.2.
Open the Google Play Store and tap on the WhatsApp app.3.
Tap on the ‘Sign in’ option.4.
Tap ‘Get Started’ and follow the instructions.5.
After logging in, tap on ‘Sign out’ to close out of the app.6.
Tap the ‘Apps’ menu at the top of the screen and select the WhatsApp desktop application.7.
Click on ‘Create a new account’ to create a new password.8.
Sign in using the same password and tap the ‘Add to Favorites’ button to add a profile picture and name.9.
Follow the prompts to create an account and add your email address.10.
Tap to ‘Register’ to register your account and begin using the app on the desktop.
If you’re on Windows 10, tap the Start menu and select Settings.11.
Tap Apps to open the ‘Settings’ app.12.
Under ‘Operating System’, tap ‘Windows Phone 8.1’ to open your ‘Settings’.13.
Scroll down to ‘Personalization’, tap the plus icon next to ‘More Settings’ and select ‘Personalize’.14.
Open your ‘Messages’ app and tap ‘Send Messages’.16.
Enter the text you want to send into the text box, and then click ‘Send’.17.
Tap Messages again and tap to cancel.19.
Your WhatsApp desktop account is now active.20.
Open WhatsApp on your phone and open the desktop apps.21.
When you’re prompted to download a new version of the WhatsApp client, select ‘No’.22.
