The Indian mobile messaging app Whatsapp is set to join Apple Watch group and Google+ group, the first such partnership in the smartphone market, said a source familiar with the matter.
Google+ will soon expand to include groups of more than 500 users, which means more than 40 million users worldwide.
The WhatsApp group will be one of the first groups to get the app, the source said, adding that WhatsApp was set to be part of Google+ in the coming days.
Google said in May it would join Apple’s WhatsApp to enable more mobile messaging services.
The group has about 30 million members, and WhatsApp is the most popular app in the country.
Google+ is available in more than 100 countries.
