The latest scam to hit the mobile messaging app Whatsapp has taken its toll on users, but its also one of the most frustrating to deal with.
In a bid to help users deal with the latest scam, Whatsapp CEO Jan Koum has launched a new tool, the Whatsapp Fraud Tracker, that will help users spot the latest scammers, the latest scams, and the latest bad actors.
Users can now share their experiences with the site by filling out the form and sharing it on social media.
It’s a new feature that users will be able to use to track down new scammer types.
“It is important to highlight that this tool is just a tool and we are in the early stages of developing it,” Koum told Reuters in an email.
“Its not an automated tool, so users will still have to manually fill out the fields manually.”
The tool will be available to download for free to all Whatsapp users who log into their accounts and register their feedback.
“There will be more to come soon,” Koums added.
“This tool will help you understand how to spot the fraudsters that you are in a position to be able react quicker and detect the new scamster types as well.”
